Profile

Zethu Mkhize is the Director: Centre for the Advancement of Social Impact Transformation (CASIT). She provides strategic direction for CASIT, a Centre that is mandated to advance, advocate, engage, advise, guide, develop, support, facilitate, activate, co-create, influence, enable, coordinate institutional engagements in terms of Social Impact and Transformation at Stellenbosch University.

Her experience in higher education and social justice spans over two decades. She joined Stellenbosch University in 2020 having worked at Rhodes University and the University of Zululand.

She holds a DPhil degree in Social Work which she obtained from the University of South Africa, and a Master’s Diploma in Human Resource Management from the then Rand Afrikaans University (currently known as the University of Johannesburg). Her leadership management training includes, inter alia, Financial Management and Higher Education Management obtained from Corporate Business & Management Training and Wits Business School, respectively.
