Profile
Fredelene Nefdt is the Financial Officer at the Centre for the Advancement of Social Impact and Transformation and began her journey at Stellenbosch University in 2008, starting as an administrator in the IT Department. Though her role in IT was short-lived, it marked the beginning of a promising career. Her next chapter took her to the Language Centre, where she worked for 11 years as Office Manager. During this time, Fredelene’s responsibilities grew, and so did her passion for finance. In 2014, the financial bug bit, and she obtained a Diploma in Certified Technical Financial Accounting.
In July 2019, Fredelene took on the role of Financial Officer at the Centre for the Advancement of Social Impact and Transformation, where she oversees all financial management. In this position, she combines her in-dept knowledge of office administration with her financial expertise, ensuring that the Centre’s operations run smoothly and sustainably. This role at the Centre is crucial in ensuring that funds are managed effectively to support projects aimed at social impact and transformation. Whether it’s budgeting, financial reporting, or strategy planning, her meticulous approach to financial management helps the Centre achieve its mission while maintaining financial health.
