Profile

Jubelian Marshall Korkie or better known as Jubes is Facilities Officer for the Centre for the Advancement of Social Impact and Transformation.

This is his sixth year at Stellenbosch University, having responsibility for managing the Old Luckhoff building. His responsibilities include general maintenance of the facility, Health and Safety management, and space and parking management. This includes the management of relationships attached to these functions. In addition to those above, he also serves as the secretariat for the Old Luckhoff Advisory Board, the body tasked with the future management of the building and its programs, and he has recently been elected to serve on the Transformation Committee for Social Impact and Transformation Responsibility Centre.

He did an Advanced Diploma in Management at UWC and has also obtained the full qualification for Customs Compliance and Freight Forwarding. He holds certificates for Project Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Advance Finance for non-Financial Managers, Critical Thinking, Ethics, and Career Development. He is an Accredited Facilitator, Assessor, Moderator, and Mentor with the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA).

His career path spans 35 years including the Pensions Business and International Trade, of which 18 years was spent training in the Imports /Exports business both locally and internationally.
