Legacy Community Development is a non-profit organisation based in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch. It is dedicated to empowering children, youth, and families through education, skills development, and holistic community programmes. Their work builds stronger, more resilient communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Why this matters
Many young people in underserved communities face barriers such as limited access to education, unemployment, and lack of positive role models. Legacy Community Development addresses these challenges through after-school programmes, mentorship, and leadership development, equipping the next generation to create lasting change.
Criteria
What Volunteers Can Do
- Assist with after-school tutoring, reading, and homework support.
- Help facilitate youth leadership and life skills programmes.
- Support sports, arts, and creative workshops.
- Contribute professional expertise in education, training, fundraising, or communications.
- Get involved in community engagement and event support.
Duration
Monday – Thursday, 15:15-18:00 depending on the program
