Description

About

The Greater Stellenbosch Development Trust (GSDT) is a public-trust and non-profit that nurtures rights-based, community-led development in Stellenbosch, especially in Kayamandi. Stellenbosch Trust Founded in 2001, it supports programmes across education, arts/culture, enterprise, health, technology, and community welfare to address socio-economic inequalities and build resilient, inclusive communities.

Why this matters

There are deep inequalities in Stellenbosch region in access to quality schooling, economic opportunity, public services, and cultural expression. GSDT helps build capacity, provide support, incubate projects, and partner with grassroots organisations to ensure that marginalised communities have space, resources, and voice.
