Description

About the Organisation

ChangeAbility (formerly the Helderberg Association for Persons with Disabilities) is a registered non-profit in Stellenbosch, established in 2003. ChangeAbility mission is to shift perceptions about disability, focusing on people’s abilities rather than their limitations. They run programmes in health & awareness, and community & skills development.

Why this matters

People with disabilities often face multiple barriers (health, mobility, stigma, lack of skills/opportunities). ChangeAbility works to reduce these barriers, promote dignity, inclusion, and support self-reliance through peer support, awareness, and skills building.
